1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They make it possible, for example, to keep you signed in, remember your preferences or understand how the site is used.
In this policy we also use the term âcookiesâ for other technologies that work in an equivalent way, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) and tracking pixels in emails.

3. Types of cookies we use
Technical or necessary cookies
These are essential for the site and the application to work: signing in and keeping you signed in, protecting your account, remembering the active team, saving your language and theme, and remembering your cookie choice. They are exempt from consent (Art. 22.2 LSSI-CE) and cannot be disabled from the panel, although you can block them in your browser, in which case the service may not work.
Analytics cookies
These let us know how many people visit us, which pages and features are used and how to improve the service. We use Google Analytics 4, which is only loaded if you accept it. We configure it with Google Consent Mode and with ad personalisation disabled. In the application, if you have accepted, we associate the measurement with an internal pseudonymised identifier of your account (never your name or email address) and, when you complete a purchase, our server sends its confirmation to Google Analytics with that same identifier. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies and stop doing so.
Advertising cookies
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies for behavioural advertising, nor do we share browsing data with ad networks.
4. Consent and how to change your choice
The first time you visit us, we show you a banner where you can accept, reject or configure optional cookies. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and no analytics cookie is set until you decide.
Your choice is stored on the pictulab.com domain and applies to both the website and the application.

Browser local storage (application)
The application stores in your browser, without sending it to third parties, information necessary for it to work: your cookie choice, light or dark theme, language, active team and temporary copies of your teams and projects so the application loads faster, display preferences (sorting, views, selected model), the invitation code you arrived with (30 days) and, if you tick âremember meâ, your email address for the next sign-in. All of this is technical or relates to preferences you have requested. You can delete it at any time from your browser or by signing out. The website also stores in your browser the light or dark theme, whether you have dismissed the language notice and the invitation code you arrived with.
Pixels in emails
The emails we send you may include a small pixel and tracked links that tell us whether the message has been delivered or opened, or whether it has been clicked. We use them to find out whether our emails arrive and are useful. You can prevent this by setting your email client not to load images automatically; links will still work.
6. Third-party content
Some pages load third-party resources which, when requested, receive your IP address as with any internet connection: illustrative images from Unsplash; the libraries that run the free tools in your browser (for example, from unpkg.com or the IMG.LY CDN) and some background textures (transparenttextures.com); in the application, the country flags on the billing page (flagcdn.com) and the sample images in the editor's reference library (picsum.photos); and, only on the sign-in screens, the Google script needed to sign in with Google. Your files are not sent to those services: they are processed on your device. If a third-party video player sets its own cookies, it will do so under that third party's policy.
7. International transfers
Google may process analytics data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and also applies standard contractual clauses. More information in Google's privacy policy and in how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
